Fallout Celebrates Bombs Drop Day, Includes Fallout 76 Free Play Week

In Fallout lore, October 23 is the twenty-four hours the bombs dropped. The event is described as the "one that started it all" and it's correct. If no fictional bombs barbarous, we'd have no Fallout. To celebrate, Bethesda has put together a "week of excitement" that includes enough for players to sink their teeth into.

One of the biggest components of this event is the fact that the polarising Fallout 76 will be free to play for the entire week. Starting now and running through Oct 26, players will get admission to the total base game, plus the ii expansions Wastelanders and Nuclear Winter. The two expansions significantly alter the game, with Wastelanders calculation the heavily requested NPC'due south and Nuclear Winter a battle royale-style fashion. The free play week will be available for players on PC, PS4 and Xbox Ane.

Players who take office in the gratis play calendar week will exist able to carry their progress over should they decide to purchase the full game during or after the trial. Bethesda does confirm that Xbox players will require an active Xbox Alive Gold membership to partake in the consequence.

Bethesda also confirms that "in that location will be three in-game events running from October 22 – 26" and that players will become "Double S.C.O.R.E. and Double XP, and get 25% off Legendary weapons and armor from Purveyor Murmrgh at the Rusty Pick."

The trial also offers players the opportunity to dip their toes into the controversial Fallout 1st gratis of charge. This trial grants players access to unlimed storage in the Scrapbox also as the Survival Tent.

The Bombs Drib Day upshot also includes some big discounts on Fallout Games and the Fallout 76 premium currency Atoms. Fallout 76 is up to lx% off, Fallout 4 up to seventy% off and the Atoms upward to 35% off during the outcome period. Shelter fans haven't been forgotten either, with "steep discounts" bachelor on bundles.
